Chitompo Border Post Crossing

Warning: 4x4 Required for travellers going in and out of this border! Because there is very little information about this border, we advise travellers not to cross this border and seek alternative routes to your objective.

This border is located in northern Zimbabwe and enters Mozambique south of Cahora Bassa Dam. The road in Mozambique will take you north-west (crossing the Panhame river) for 120km to the point where Zimbabwe and Zambia borders meet, opposite Zumbo and where the Zambezi river joins the Cahora Bassa Dam.

The Panhame river may only be crossable during the dry season.
