Gonarezhou Transfrontier Park "Gonarezhou" earned its name from the Shona, meaning "The Place of Elephants" and is linked to cross-bordering parks of the Kruger National Park (South Africa) and the Limpopo National Park of Mozambique. This peace park agreement allows animals to roam freely between the 3 sanctuaries to help preserve and restore the population of endangered wildlife species.

Limpopo National Park The park's road conditions are not nearly the same as that of the Kruger's if that's where you are entering from and can only be accessed and explored using a 4x4 with high ground clearance. Some roads can be extremely challenging, even with a 4x4. So don't chance it even with a normal 2WD vehicle that has high ground clearance.

North Gonarezhou National Park The North Gonarezhou National Park has recently translocated a group of 26 eland, over and above the introduction of 20 eland in 2019 when they were literally non-existent in reserve for over 30 years.

Xai Xai 2 Wenela tidal pool is a natural underwater blowhole located approximately 2km south of Xai Xai. The spectacular blowhole effect occurs when immense tidal pressure from the ocean forces water through an underwater channel beneath the reef. This is definitely a tidal pool to see and not swim in!

Zongoene Beach Navigate your 4x4 up the southern hill of the river mouth where the old Monte Belo lighthouse is located. Built in 1914, the lighthouse still operates today and stands 14 meters (46 ft) high offering spectacular 360° views of the estuary, bush, beach and surrounding coastal wilderness.
